International Livestock Research &Training Institute Unveils Roadmap for success, seek support

The Chairman of  International Livestock Research &Training Institute Dr Kabiru Dasuki has unveiled the institution’s Roadmap for the successful running of its programmes.

 

Speaking at a joint press briefing with relevant stakeholders and financial partners of the organizations on Tuesday 31st in Abuja, Dr Dasuki buttressed the activities to be carried out by the institution in other to tackle poverty, promote entrepreneurship, train people on dairy production and general knowledge of livestock among others.

The Executive Director also revealed that the school has already kick-started in Sokoto state noting that there are already some students currently undergoing training in livestock breeding and ranching fields.

 

 

Dasuki however called on the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association known as MACBAN and the Fulbe Global Rights Initiative to come on board and support the institution to succeed saying that more groups will be accommodated as the journey unfolds.

 

Earlier in his welcoming address, The Executive Director and Chairman of ILRT Dr Kabir Dasuki stated that the meeting hoped to bring together a wide and impressive range of distinguished experts, decision-makers, financial analysts, representatives from the private sectors and socio-cultural organisations gearing towards the whole spectrum of the entire livestock sector.

 

 

Responding, Alhaji Muhammadu Ngezarma, Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria MACBAN said the initiative is a welcome development and that his organisation will want to key in to give their support.

 

Alhaji Muhamadu further speaks about animal abuse and how cows are jam-packed whenever they are being conveyed.

 

He also promised to reach out to more people for funding within and outside the country.

 

 

 

On his part, Chairman of the Fulbe Global Rights Initiative Dr Salim Musa Umar said without any doubt that there are no second thoughts about their support as they will do everything within their capacity to support and sustain the project until it succeeds.
