Fighters of the Islamic State West African Province (ISWAP) have gunned down the Boko Haram terrorist group, Ali Gana Alhaji Ali in Sambisa.
Daily Trust reports that Ali, one of the deadliest terrorist leaders in the Northeast, was killed on Sunday when the ISWAP fighters ambushed him.
He was said to be in charge of Sambisa and Gwoza enclaves, Ali Gana Alhaji Ali, on Gwoza Hill, in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.
A security source said Ali had killed several victims in Sambisa and some other parts of Borno State, before his death on Sunday.
“He was the deputy of the late Ali Ngulde, and apart from Shekau, nobody killed human beings like him from Sambisa forest and Bayan Dutsen Gwoza.
“He was a crude killer. His foot terrorists in Gwoza areas constantly instil fear in communities, farmers and commuters along Pulka, Bankin, Bama and Gwoza Mubi routes.
“They take no prisoners, and people are slaughtered in their farms every week. Gwoza people will surely celebrate his demise,” the source said.
Recall that Abubakar Shekau, a dreaded leader of Boko Haram also died during a deadly confrontation with the ISWAP fighters in May 2021.
