Plateau state government sidelines other faith in N500mln First lady’s donation to victims of recent crisis.

The Plateau State government has released names of beneficiaries for the crisis donation made by Nigeria’s first lady, Senator Remi Tinubu.

However, many Islamic leaders as well as Fulani herdsmen express displeasures and disappointment over lopsided nature of the list of 500 families that were victims of the recent round of crisis in five local government areas of Plateau state.

It would recalled that the wife of the President and First Lady Remi Tinubu visited Plateau state Wednesday 12 to sympathize with the victims and she announced the donation of the sum of N500m as assistance to 500 families affected by the crisis across the five local government areas of Mangu, Bokkos, Barikin Ladi, Riyom and Jos South..

To many Muslims and Fulani leaders dismay, when the list of beneficiaries was unveiled by the Plateau state government, there is no single Muslim beneficiary in the list.

ROtv24 exclusively gathered that the other faith sidelined are not happy with the development and that so many of their mamebers are equally affected.

“This is unfortunate because it is on record that so many Muslims, including lots of Fulani herdsmen were displaced by the cross especially in Mangu LGA where the crisis took a religious dimension”.

The leaders question the sincerity of the Plateau state government to providing lasting solution to the crisis in the state if it can glaringly take sides and be so partial as to preferring victims from on faith and ignoring victims from other faiths.

Above is the list prepared by the Plateau state government of supposed 500 victims of the recent crisis. Each person is to be given N1m courtesy the first lady. Was the crisis only affected the Christians?
