Gov. Mohammed condoles Gombe Emirate over death of District Head

 

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed  Saturday, led top government officials to condole with the Emir of Gombe, Alh. Abubakar Shehu III over the death of Alh. Abdulkadir Abubakar, the Yariman Gombe.

 

While on the condolence visit, the governor said that Bauchi state shared many things in common with Gombe state hence, his decision to pay them the visit over the demise of the popular district head.

Mohammed, who prayed to God to grant the deceased eternal rest, also beseeched on God to grant the immediate family the fortitude to bear what he described as ‘irreparable loss’.

“I am here on behalf of the government and the people of Bauchi state to convey our condolences to His Excellency, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, and the Emir of Gombe on the death of the Yariman Gombe.

 

“I really feel sad with a lot of pain because of his demise.

“The late Yarima was a highly respected leader, who was a symbol of inspiration to the people and who left behind huge vacuum and indelible footprints.

“We will surely miss his fatherly guidance and counsel,” he said.

 

Responding, the Emir of Gombe, Dr. Abubakar Shehu, appreciated the governor for the concern which further demonstrated the bond of unity of purpose that existed between the two states for a very long time.

He further expressed gratitude to the governor for always identifying with the Emirate and the government of Gombe state and prayed to the Almighty Allah to reward him abundantly over the condolence visit.
