The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON has so far airlifted almost ten thousand (10,000) pilgrims in a return flight back to Nigeria.
The commission despite encountering numerous challenges on the flights schedules by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has airlifted 9,854 pilgrims back home to Nigeria.
The commission has so far expressed satisfaction with the airlifting, conduct and behaviour of the pilgrims as well as the compliance of the pilgrims with the eight kilograms hand luggage.
Mohammad Bakari Gire who is the head of operation in the King Abdulaziz International Airport Jeddah revealed that all has been going on well, except for some few stubborn pilgrims, who were said would hardly be ruled out in operations like this, an official said.

Today 10/07/2023, FYNAS flight XY7656 departed Jeddah to LAGOS @ 11:30hrs with 380 Pilgrims and 7 Officials.
Total Airlifts = 9,854
Total Flights = 25
Some of the states that have so far been airlifted are Sokoto, Jigawa, Lagos and Nasarawa states with some few individuals based on special cases
