DSS invites the suspended EFCC Chairman as Mohammed Umar takes over in an acting capacity

 

 

The Department of State Services (DSS) has invited the suspended Economic and financial Crime Commission EFCC Chairman Mr. Abdulrasheed Bawa.

 

 

In a statement issued by Dr. Peter Afunanya, Public Relations Officer Department of State Services National Headquarters Abuja said Bawa arrived a few hours after the invitation.

 

He maintained that the invitation relates to some investigative activities concerning him.

 

However, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed Mohammed Umar to take over as Acting Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

 

He has been directed by President Tinubu to take over after the suspension of Abdulrasheed Bawa.

 

The Acting Chairman, Umar was directed to take over the affairs of the commission for being the Director of Operations of the commission.
