Kumasi- Hajj Secretariat enlightens prospective pilgrims ahead of airlift to Saudi Arabia

 

 

 

The Ghana Hajj Board nationwide orientation for prospective pilgrims for Hajj 2023 took its turn to Kumasi the Ashanti Regional Capital.

 

The orientation provides various forms of information for prospective pilgrims. The exercise is a beautiful initiative coined by the executive Secretary Alhaji Farouk Hamza and endorsed by the Hajj Board.

The exercise whiles interfacing with prospective pilgrims, also seeks to provide health education and Dawah education.

 

The head of Medical team takes prospective pilgrims through series of education on keeping to ‘good healthy life and safety’ measures before during and even after Hajj.

 

Alongside the comprehensive health education is an ongoing health screening which runs concurrent.

The screening exercise is aimed at having an idea the various ailments that are common amongst prospective pilgrims to guide the medical department on its procurement of drugs for use of propective pilgrims.

 

The other leg of the orientation exercise deals with Dawah teachings. This exercise teaches prospective pilgrims the intentions (niiyats) in the performance of Hajj.

 

The head of Dawah Committee Doctur Muhammad Ibrahim Mohammed heavily supported by Shiekh Suala, Doctur Abdul Aziz Farhan takes the podium to advise prospective pilgrims on the need to turn to Allah by avoiding anti Allah activities to enable them perform Hajj ‘Mabrur’~well fulfilled Hajj.

 

Many are those who doesn’t know that the Hajj involves processes. Prospective pilgrims are educated on the processes beginning from Madina to Makkah till the end of Hajj.

 

On his part, the executive Secretary the venerable Alhaji Farouk shares with prospective pilgrims the plans in place to ensure their comfort and peace of mind before and during the performance of Hajj.

 

He touches on the feeding, transportation for both Umrah and Hajj.
He highlights on the quality of housing and it’s proximity to the Sacred Mosques especially in Madinatu Munawara.

 

He assures them of value for money for subscribing to pay with Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana (Hajj Board) through prospective pilgrims and direct payments.

 

Alhaji Farouk heavily supported by the secretariat takes the opportunity to caution and discourages those with intent of performing Hajj with tourists visas, spelling out its consequences.

 

The secretariat also shares comprehensive plans of putting together Pilgrims Database aimed at purging/cleaning the Ghanaian Camp of strangers and infiltrators who are not welcome into those tents.

The prospective pilgrims on their part are given the opportunity to ask questions and also exchange pleasantries with the Hajj Board members especially the secretariat.
