Police arrest 7 thuggery suspects with dangerous arms in Bauchi

 

 

 

The Police command in Bauchi state has arrested seven notorious thuggery suspects called “SARA SUKA” in the state metropolis.

 

SP Ahmed Wakil, Spokesman of the command made the disclosure in a statement issued to Newsmen on Sunday in Bauchi.

 

He said the operatives arrested the suspected thugs at Magaji Quarters of Bauchi metropolis and recovered dangerous weapons and hard drugs

“Sequel to the directives of the Commissioner of Police Aminu Alhassan to Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) and Tactical teams to raid criminal hideouts and ensure maximum security and serenity of the Easter celebration.

“On Saturday the operatives attached to C’ Divisional Police Headquarters Bauchi in collaboration with a quasi-security outfit acting on a credible intelligence raided a criminal hideout in an uncompleted building situated at Magaji Quarters Bauchi.

“The operation yielded a very high rate of success leading to the arrest of suspects that include Rayyanu Mohammed 25. Mustapha Harisu 19,
Yusuf Ibrahim 18,Mubarak Lawal 18.

Others are Abubakar Musa 18,
Al-Amin Hussaini 20,Hamza and Umar 17 all of Magaji quarters Bauchi.

The operatives recovered dangerous arms and some alcoholic beverages from the suspects hide out as exhibits.

The exhibits include two axes, three knives, ten empty bottles of cough syrup, two empty rubber solutions and one wrap of cannabis sativa.

Wakil said Investigations revealed that the suspects arrested belong to a notorious thuggery group called “SARA SUKA” known for terrorizing the city of Bauchi metro lately.

The Spokesman therefore urges parents and guardians to get acquainted with the activities of their children, as the investigation is in progress after which the suspects will be charged to court for prosecution.
