The police commissioner of Taraba State has reacted to the killing of 5 of his men by the Nigerian army at the collation centre in the state.
Briefing newsment the commissioner said:
It was gathered that Serious Fracas between the military and police men today, led to the killing of several policemen..
According to eye witness report, soldiers escorted election materials and staff to INEC office but argument struck out between a soldier and a police woman and the policewoman slapped a soldier then the soldier immediately slapped the police woman which promoted a police man to open fire, thereby killing three soldiers at a spot and another soldier seeing what has happened, immediately opened fire and killed 5 policemen while other policemen had to run for their dear lives,scaling through the fence.
