Police kill four arrest four suspects of kidnapping & banditry in Bauchi

 

 

Bauchi state Police Command has killed four, arrested four suspected kidnappers, rescued 6 kidnapped victims and recovered dangerous weapons in the state.

 

 

The Command Spokesman SP Ahmed Wakil disclosed this in a statement made available to Journalists on Sunday in Bauchi.

 

 

He said operatives of the command have recorded unprecedented successes in its different daring operations across the state aimed at dislodging remnants of kidnappers and bandits enclaves.

 

 

“Efforts had been intensified in a bid to trail and apprehend the perpetrators to face the wrath of the law.

 

 

“Dec. 10 2022 Police Operatives in conjunction with locals ambushed and neutralised two of the armed kidnappers,

“while the remaining suspects were subdued by the superior firepower from the operatives, forced them to scamper in disarray into the nearest bushes with possible bullet wounds.

“The police operatives neutralized two bandits and fabricated SMG rifles, and three operational motorcycles (Honda Bajaj) were equally recovered during the operation,” he said.

He said the operatives in the command have intensified patrol in all the forest to get the fleeing suspects arrested.

“The command neutralized four suspected kidnappers and bandits, arrested Four suspected kidnappers and recovered four AK47 rifles and one fabricated SMG rifle, one locally-made revolver pistol and One locally-made Beretta pistol

“The command rescued six kidnapped victims unhurt, five empty magazines, 22 rounds of 7×62.51mm ammunition, four rounds of 7×62.39mm ammunition and three Honda Bajaj motorcycles as exhibits,” Wakil said.

 

The Spokesman pointed out that all suspects arrested confessed to have partaken in several kidnapping activities around Alkaleri local government area axis.

He said investigation is ongoing, and all efforts have been intensified to arrest their co-conspirators.
