President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed appreciation to Nigerians and the world at large for celebrating him on his 80th birthday.
The president who shared photos of him cutting his birthday cake on board an airplane while serrounded by air hostesses and membersnof his entourage said, that he had tried to avoid celebrations by fixing their return ticket for that day from the United States, but didn’t quite succeed.
He expressed his appreciation on twitter where he wrote:
“I’m grateful for the outpouring of good wishes for my 80th birthday. I tried to avoid having to celebrate, by fixing our return journey from the United States on that day, but I didn’t quite succeed. I give thanks to the Almighty for the gift of life,and the opportunity to serve”.
