The Kogi State House of Assembly has stepped down the budget Defense of Ministry of Water Resources over the failure of the Commissioner, Abdulmumuni Danga to appear for the annual defense.
The House Committee on Water Resources Chaired by Hon. Moses Akande, representing Ogori/Magongo Constituency said the Commissioner since his appointment has failed to appear for the Defense of his Ministry.
RadioKogi.ng repoets that Akande directed the budget of the Ministry be stepped down until the Commissioner is ready to appear before the Committee.
He further pointed out that if the State Governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello could present the annual budget before the House, the Commissioner is not bigger than the legislative arm.
The House Committee on Transport had also stepped down the budget Defense of the Ministry of Transport.
Recall that the Chairman, House Committee on Finance, Budget and Appropriation, Aderonke Aro announced that there will be no Budget Defense by Proxy.
