It was also gathered that the victim, who has been simply identified as Ruth was found dead with her underwear hanging on her legs, which suggested that she was raped, even though she was seen to also have been stabbed.
The reports also stated that Ruth, who lived in Zaruma area got a job in Rayfield about a week ago and that it was when she closed in the evening yesterday that she probably met her untimely death.
