Minister of Finance, IDB signs Muharaba, MOUs to support the construction of a 300 bed specialist hospital in Kaduna

 

 

The Hon. Minister of Finance Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed received in audience the Chairman/President of theb islamic development bank group H.E. Dr. Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser on his first official visit to Nigeria/Africa at the Ministry of Finance HQ in Abuja this morning.

 

The Chairman extended condolences to Nigeria for the great loss of lives in the recent flooding.

 

“The Group stands with its member country, Nigeria & will do its utmost to contribute to reversing the impacts of this unexpected and tragic natural disaster,” he started.

At the meeting with Dr Mohammed Sulaiman Al-Jasser a Murabaha agreement was signed by the finance minister Shamsuna to support the construction of a 300-bed specialized hospital in Kaduna State.

 

The project will provide comprehensive & qualitative tertiary health services to the sub-region.

 

Meanwhile, a Memorandum of understanding (MOu)  was also signed between the Islamic Development Bank Group and the Nigeria Investment Promotion Council which was signed by Saratu Umar, the Executive Secretary/CEO at the Ministry of Finance HQ in Abuja.

Hon. Minister  Hajiya Zainab Shamsuna and the Perm. Sec. Finance, Mr Aliyu Ahmed appreciated the visit and support by H.E. Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser while reaffirming Nigerias commitment to partnership inclusive and sustainable development of the Nigerian economy.
