President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the release to NEMA Nigeria of 12,000 metric tonnes of food items from the National Strategic Reserve, for distribution to communities affected by flooding, across the country.
According to reports NEMA has since commenced transportation of the items to the States.
Recalled that many states have been battling with flood lately which left thousand of people displaced feom their homes.
Top among those states are Kogi state, Jigawa state, Bayelsa state amongst others.
The message was shared by president Buhari’s aide on new media Bashir Ahmed on twitter whwre he wrote.
“President @MBuhari has approved the release to @NEMANigeria of 12,000 metric tonnes of food items from the National Strategic Reserve, for distribution to communities affected by flooding, across the country.
NEMA has since commenced transportation of the items to the States”.
