Ramadan Message: Wase calls for love, peace and unity

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase, has enjoined Muslims ummah to use the Ramadan period to show more love to the their neighbours and other vulnerable members of the society.

In a massage to mark the commencement of Ramadan fast, issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Umar Muhammad Puma, Wase also urged the rich to show compassion and extend hands of support to the less priviledged.

‘Ramadan is a period of love, total devotion, spiritual rebirth and an opportunity to re-evaluate one’s relationship with the Almighty Allah.

“As Ramadan starts I want to felicitate with Muslims ummah for witnessing yet another season of spiritual inmpotance. I want to urged all of us to use the holy month to reflect and re dedicate ourself to prayers for sustainable peace and progress of our nation.

“Ramadan is a time of spiritual reflection, sacrifice and increased devotion and worship. I implore muslim ummah to show to love and apply the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), in our relationship with our neighbours. Muslims and none muslims we should remember and to cater for the less privileged in out midst, stay humble and abstain from all bad deeds.
