NASS resumes from annual recess

The House of Representatives has resumed plenary session on Tuesday, September 14th, 2021 after their annual recess.

The Speaker of the House, Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila presided over the session after leading the opening prayer and the National Pledge, the Speaker examined and approved the second votes and proceedings for Friday, July 16th, 2021

However, the Speaker of the House, Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila on a sad note announced the call to glory of Rep. Omolafe Isaac Adebayo who until his death represented Akure North/ Akure South Federal constituency in Ondo state. The sad event took place on Saturday, August 15th, 2021.

As is the custom in the parliament, members rose for a minute silence, and prayers were offered for the repose of the soul of late Rep. Adebayo, after which the House in line with its custom; adjourned plenary.

The House at later 13:52 adjourned plenary around 13:52 till Wednesday, September 15th, 2021 by 11:00 A.M following a motion for adjournment moved by the Leader of the House, Rep. Alhassan Ado-Doguwa and seconded by the Minority Leader, Rep. Ndudi Elumelu.
