Gunmen stormed a police station in Anambra state Kill two inspectors and freed detainees

There was a report of an attack on the Obosi police station in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State by yet-to-be-identified gunmen.

Tribune reports that two police Inspectors were killed during the attack that occurred on Wednesday night May 5.

The gunmen were reported to have freed all the detainees in the cell before razing down the police station.

The spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, has confirmed the incidents and said the police commissioner has sent a team to the scene of the incident to unravel the circumstances behind the attack.
