Daba became a household name in Nigeria for his role as Bitrus in an NTA drama series Cock Crow at Dawn,.
Sadiq died on Wednesday evening 3rd March after falling critically ill at his Marwa Garden residence in Alausa, Lagos State.
A source said, “he was rushed from his Marwa Garden home in an ambulance to Ikeja General Hospital but died inside the Ambulance.”
Mr Daba had been battling leukaemia and prostate cancer for years before his death.
He openly reached out to the public for financial assistance in October 2019 to undergo medical treatment.
However, billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola, announced he would take over the medical expenses of the actor who had been diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Daba was diagnosed with leukaemia and prostate cancer in 2017.
He later travelled to London for treatment where he was back on his feet.
