Bandit have reportedly hijacked farms in Zamfara state where the farmers are being destroyed to pay money before accessing their farms.
Bulama Bukarti posted on Twitter saying that a report on BBC has stated that Bandits are allegedly collecting around three hundred thousand (N300,000) to Nine hundred thousand naira (N900,000) par village from farmers before they are allowed to access their farm produce.
It was also stated that the farmers had earlier paid money at the beginning of the farming seasons to be able to cultivate their farms.
However, Nigerian react after Senator Shehu Sani also made the post regarding the alleged extortion by the bandits, much express happiness for the news while others think that the silence of Northern elders regarding banditry will consume the north.
Some also view it differently saying, the north is waiting to use it on any southern president who will ascend the presidency instead of talking now.
