The Edo Speaker Francis Okiye has been impeached over alleged high-handedness.
The House Majority Leader, Henry Okhurobo, was said to have moved the motion for his impeachment and nine of the 10 Assembly members at the Plenary signed his impeachment letter
Marcus Onobun, representing Esan West Constituency was immediately sworn in as the new Speaker.
