Nigeria was debt free and a lender nation in 1st October 1960 and 1965-Reno Omokri

A PDP chieftain Reno Omokri said there is nothing independent about Nigeria hence the need for celebration.

In a post on Instagram, Omokri highlighted how Nigeria was faring on the day it received independence and five years later.

Happy Independence? For what? For what? On October 1, 1960, Nigeria was debt free. 5 years later in 1965, Nigeria was a lender nation. In 2006, Obasanjo paid our entire foreign debt.

Today, we are a Heavily Indebted nation courtesy of General Buhari. Are we independent? And to make matters worse, General @MuhammaduBuhari‘s Independence Day broadcast said “It makes no sense for oil to be cheaper in Nigeria than in Saudi Arabia.” Does Saudi Arabia have 10 Presidential jets, like Buhari? Do the Saudi’s budget $500 million to renovate their own version of NTA? Do they give their National Assembly ₦140 billion a year? I am proud of Nigeria, but not of her leadership.

There is everything to be proud of a people who are simultaneously the most educated people in America and one of the most educated in Europe.

There is nothing to be proud of about a disaster that can’t produce his WAEC certificates and who has Northernised Nigeria’s government and military
