Chairman National Hajj Commission of Nigeria Visits Gov. Tambuwal, Inspects hajj camp.

The NAHCON Chairman/CEO Alhaji Zikhrirullah Kunle Hassan, has paid an inspection visit to Sokoto state, the visit is to inspect the ongoing work of the multi-purpose hall and other projects at the state Hajj camp, Sokoto state on Thursday 17th, 2020.

The projects are under Hajj Development Levy ProjectsDuring the visit, Alhaji Zikhrullah and his entourage also paid a courtesy call to Gov. Aminu Tambuwal of the state where the Governor has advised that the hajj subsisting airlifting should be review.

Observing that the existing policy at a point almost discouraged local airliners from operating, Gov. Tambuwal suggested that NAHCON should encourage them to improve on their modus operandi by measuring up to international visa standards.

‘We know there have been challenges but encourage them to do better so that we can encourage who are in that business locally to do more,” Tambuwal added.

Tambuwal further advises the commission should always consult with other stakeholders.He further stated that the aid of the Hajj development levy, he assured them that his administration will continue to cooperate with the Commission on future endeavors.The Governor said it is a deliberate policy of his administration that it has been working to complete projects it inherited from the previous governments. “Government is a continuity. We must continue the projects we inherited and must not allow public resources to be wasted,” he further added.
