Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state has urged traditional leaders to always welcome and accommodate other party candidates anytime they come around soliciting for their support across the state.
Mohammed stated this when he visited the District Head of Bauchi metropolis Alhaji Nuru Jumba to solicit his support for his re-election on Sunday in Bauchi.
He encouraged the traditional leaders to always welcome and accommodate other party candidates whenever they come visiting in their palace, saying am not against that .
“I have absolute confidence in my capacity to win the election by the will of Allah.
“The support and love we saw during our campaign tour was unprecedented.
“We are grateful for the demonstration of this love and this has serve as catalyst for us to do better in our second coming In Sha Allah”he said.
According to him, once again solicited for the support of traditional institutions to enable him win a second term in office.
The Governor also pledged to accord the traditional institutions with all the respect and support it deserves with a view to allow it function optimally.
He assured the people of the state that he will continue to provide an enabling environment, through infrastructural development, to open up the state for economic development and prosperity.
Mohammed sought prayers from the people for peace, harmony, prosperity of the state and a successful conduct of the general elections.
In his response, the district head Jumba commended the Governor for his interest in supporting and enhancing the traditional institutions through constructions of district heads’ palaces across the state and provision of vehicles.
Jumba, who is the Chiroman Bauchi in the Bauchi further applauded Gov Mohammmed for remarkable achievement in his first tenure and also expressed hope for more development.
“If someone provides you with befitting accommodation and a vehicle to carry out your responsibility in your community, that person has given you the right mindset to be content.
“Gov Mohammmed has renovated all the district heads’ palaces across the entire state and also given us vehicles to enable us function well in carrying out our responsibilities.
“I can say with all sense of humility that it is payback time for the people of Bauchi to give you the second mandate, so as to consolidate on the present gains of your administration”, said Jumba,” he said.
