?The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has disclosed that 1,906,390 Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) have been collected out of 2,339,233 registered voters ahead of the Saturday, August 15, 2026, Osun State governorship election, representing an 81.50 percent collection rate across the state.

?According to a statement issued by the National Commissioner and Chairman of the Information and Voter Education Committee, Mohammed Kudu Haruna, the remaining 426,842 uncollected PVCs—accounting for 18.50 percent—have been deposited for safekeeping at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in accordance with established electoral procedures.

?The Commission further detailed that a total of 6,101 voters who previously registered for card replacements due to loss, defacement, or damage successfully printed downloadable copies of their PVCs. A detailed polling-unit-by-polling-unit breakdown of collected cards has since been uploaded to the official INEC website for public verification.

?Reaffirming its commitment to electoral integrity, INEC assured political parties, civil society organizations, the media, and the electorate in Osun State of its complete operational readiness to deliver a free, fair, credible, transparent, and inclusive governorship election on Saturday.
