Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), has congratulated Nigerian scholars Dr. Muhammad Abubakar Dalhat and Prof. Moruf Olalekan Yusuf on their elevation to the rank of Professor in Saudi Arabia.

?In a statement signed by Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Director of Media, Public Relations, and Protocols, Dabiri-Erewa celebrated their promotions as a source of immense pride for the Nigerian diaspora and a testament to the exceptional caliber of the country's academics on the global stage.

?Professor Dalhat was elevated at the College of Engineering, Transportation, and Traffic Engineering, Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University. He holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) and has established a distinguished research profile in pavement design, AI-driven material optimization, and sustainable construction materials, securing multiple patents for asphalt material innovation.

?Professor Yusuf was promoted to Professor of Civil Engineering by the University of Hafr Al Batin. He earned a First-Class degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Ibadan, an MSc from KFUPM, and a PhD in Concrete Technology from Universiti Sains Malaysia. Renowned internationally for his expertise in sustainable construction materials, alkali-activated binders, and geopolymer concrete, he has published over 50 peer-reviewed papers with more than 2,000 citations. He also serves as the pioneer Chairman of the Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers, Eastern Province Chapter, Saudi Arabia.

?Dabiri-Erewa commended the duo for their dedication to research, teaching, and professional service, emphasizing that NiDCOM remains steadfast in recognizing Nigerians excelling abroad. She also urged the new professors to continue mentoring young Nigerian scholars in Saudi Arabia to further enhance national development and maintain Nigeria's strong international image.
