Yobe  state Governor Mai Mala Buni has to relief farmers in the state by reducing the cost of hiring tractors by fifty per cent from N100,000 to N50,000.

The Acting Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr Mohammed Goje, disclosed the development and described it as part of the administration's commitment to easing the burden on farmers and promoting increased agricultural production.

He said the 50 per cent reduction in tractor hiring fees would enable more farmers to access mechanised farming services, cultivate larger expanses of land and improve productivity during the current farming season.

He furthers states that the intervention is expected to lower the cost of cultivation, enhance food production and contribute significantly to food security in the state.
