The National Council of Women Societies (NCWS), the umbrella body for women’s organizations in Nigeria, has officially announced its national endorsement and partnership for the "Founding 50" National Legacy Archive, organized by Eventville Magazine and ROtv24.
?The endorsement marks a historic milestone for the Apex Women Awards, a project dedicated to identifying and archiving the "Success Blueprints" of 50 iconic Nigerian women who have reached the pinnacle of their respective careers.
?Speaking during the official briefing in Abuja, the National President of the NCWS-Princess Edna Azura described the project as a "timely intervention" in the preservation of female leadership history.

?"The NCWS is proud to stand behind the 'Founding 50.' For too long, the contributions of women to the 'Invisible Infrastructure' of Nigeria- in healthcare, agriculture, housing, and policy, have gone undocumented. By partnering with Eventville Magazine and ROtv24, we are ensuring that these legacies are not just celebrated for a day, but archived for a century."
The "Founding 50" project, themed "Women at the Apex: Leadership, Impact, and Legacy," departs from traditional award ceremonies by creating a multi-platform digital and physical archive.
The initiative will feature:
?Cinematic documentaries: capturing the technical expertise of the inductees.
?The Legacy Publication edition of the Founding 50 and the National Induction Gala- scheduled for March 2026, where the archive will be officially presented to the National Library of Nigeria.
?
In her reaction to the endorsement, Uduakobong Godwin, Publisher of Eventville Magazine and Convener of the Apex Women Awards, stated:
"The NCWS endorsement is the ultimate 'National Seal.' It validates our mission to move beyond the surface and document the 'Architecture of Excellence' that these women represent. With ROtv24 capturing the cinematic narrative and Eventville documenting the editorial journey, we are building a curriculum of leadership for the next generation."
?The Selection Process
Inductees already tipped for the inaugural cohort include heavyweights across various sectors.
?The project is set to kick off its national media tour and filming sessions this month, leading up to the grand unveiling during the Women’s History Month in March 2026.
