The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, has visited the 107 Air Maritime Group at NAF Base, Benin-City, the home unit of the ill-fated Nigerian Air Force ATR 42 aircraft, to meet with personnel and reassure affected families of the Service’s unwavering backing during this difficult period.
?According to a statement released by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the Air Chief expressed profound condolences over the loss of the crew and personnel, describing the deceased as dedicated patriots who served the nation with honour and commitment.

?Air Marshal Aneke assured the bereaved families that the Nigerian Air Force would continue to stand by them through emotional, administrative, and institutional support, specifically highlighting the provision of scholarship awards for the children of the deceased personnel.
?Addressing the unit, the Chief of the Air Staff commended the officers and airmen of 107 Air Maritime Group for their professionalism, resilience, and unwavering dedication in the face of adversity, urging them to remain steadfast and focused as search, recovery, and investigative operations remain ongoing.
