?Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, has expressed deep shock and sadness over the crash of a Nigerian Air Force jet in Igbokoda, Ondo State, on Monday, which resulted in the loss of service personnel and crew members.
In a condolence message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Levinus Nwabughiogu, Kalu extended his sympathies to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Chief of the Air Staff Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, the Nigerian Air Force, and the families of those affected, describing the incident as a national tragedy.
?Calling for a comprehensive investigation to determine the cause of the crash, the Deputy Speaker affirmed the Parliament's commitment to supporting measures aimed at strengthening aviation safety within the military and preventing future air disasters.
Kalu prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed personnel and offered his condolences to the bereaved families during this period of grief.
