2027: Speaker Abbas Tasks Door-to-Door Campaigners to Market Tinubu on Facts and Performance

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, has called on the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement to ground President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election campaign in verified performance statistics, wisdom, and facts.

?Speaking in Abuja during a courtesy visit by the group on Wednesday, Speaker Abbas stated that demonstrating the administration’s achievements over the past three years would make marketing the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate straightforward and effective.

?Addressing the delegation led by National Coordinator Comrade Sunday Adekanbi Asuku, Speaker Abbas cautioned that changing leadership in 2027 would undermine the progress achieved following difficult economic reforms.

He noted that after four decades of structural challenges in Nigeria, a single four-year term is insufficient to fully correct past shortcomings, making policy continuity vital.

?Speaker Abbas affirmed that the House of Representatives remains closely connected to the grassroots and will serve as active ambassadors for the administration's Renewed Hope Agenda.

?The PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, founded by High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo (Tompolo), aims to mobilize support and secure a minimum of 10 million votes for President Tinubu’s re-election bid.

Comrade Asuku reassured the House leadership that the group intends to complement the official party campaign structure rather than run a parallel operation, seeking mentorship and collaboration from national leaders.

?House leadership members present during the visit included Majority Leader Prof. Julius Ihonvbere, Deputy Leader Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims, Deputy Chief Whip Hon. Ibrahim Ayokunle Isiaka, and Chairman of the House Committee on South-South Development Commission Hon. Julius Pondi.
