?Former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu following his appointment as Chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) board, pledging not to disappoint the administration.
?The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain was named to the role on July 20 alongside 26 other federal agency appointees. Reacting to the development, Fayose described the position as a vital opportunity to drive grassroots development by expanding electricity access to rural communities across Nigeria.
?"I sincerely thank President Bola Tinubu for finding me worthy of this appointment. It is a privilege to serve, particularly in an agency whose mandate directly impacts people at the grassroots," Fayose stated. "We will do our very best, and, by the grace of God, we will not let the President down."
?Fayose noted that the board is awaiting formal inauguration, adding that specific strategic plans for the agency will be disclosed once the board officially assumes office.
