The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has empowered over 1,000 women petty traders in Karon Majigi and the Physically Challenged Colony in the FCT through the Renewed Hope Initiative.

Represented by the Wife of the Vice President, Hajiya Nana Shettima @kujarima, the First Lady donated sewing machines, grinding machines, water pumping machines, hair dryers, power chillers and five tricycle trucks to support livelihoods.

Additionally, 1,000 beneficiaries received ?50,000 each to help expand their small businesses.

Hajiya Nana Shettima  also announced that the construction of a new secondary school in the community, facilitated by the Renewed Hope Initiative in partnership with the FCT Administration, is underway and will be completed soon.
