10 Rescued as Building Collapses in Lagos, Search for More Survivors Continues

A multi-storey building collapsed on Old Ojo Road near Alakija Bus Stop in Satellite Town, Lagos, on Thursday, prompting an extensive rescue operation. 

The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that 10 occupants were rescued alive from the rubble and received medical attention for varying injuries. Emergency responders from several agencies, including the police, navy, Red Cross, and fire services, are continuing search efforts for possible survivors still trapped beneath the debris. 

Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the collapse, with investigations set to begin after rescue operations are completed. 

The incident has renewed concerns over building safety and structural integrity in Lagos.
