Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has withdrawn his candidacy from the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primaries scheduled for Thursday.

In a personally signed statement titled “My decision to withdraw from the Rivers State Gubernatorial Primaries,” released on Wednesday night, Fubara announced his withdrawal and declared he would fully support whoever emerges as the party’s candidate.

Recalled that the embattled governor has always been at logger heads with his predecessor Nyesom Wike.
