A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Nelson Ogbu, has officially picked his nomination form to contest for the State Constituency seat in the Benue State House of Assembly ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Ogbu picked the form at the African Democratic Congress State Secretariat in Makurdi in line with the party’s requirements and guidelines.
The event attracted party leaders, stakeholders, supporters and members from Ado Local Government Area who came out to show solidarity and support for his ambition.
Speaking during the exercise, Ogbu expressed appreciation to party leaders, stakeholders and the ADC executive committee in Ado Local Government for the confidence reposed in him.
He said his aspiration was driven by the desire to provide quality representation and grassroots-oriented leadership for the people of the constituency.
According to him, he remains committed to the ideals of quality service, inclusive leadership, youth empowerment and people-centred representation.
He also assured supporters of his determination to continue engaging with the people as the 2027 election process gathers momentum.
“God on our side,” he declared.
