?The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has alerted the public to unauthorised Facebook pages, groups, and social media accounts using the Commission’s name, logo, and identity to spread unverified information without approval.
?Stating categorically that it does not operate or endorse any social media platforms outside its recognised channels, NAHCON expressed concern over the circulation of misleading and potentially harmful content by impostors.
?To ensure safety and accuracy, the Commission has outlined its official communication channels:
?Members of the public are strongly advised to obtain information exclusively through these official platforms, disregard announcements from unauthorised sources, avoid sharing unverified claims, and report suspicious accounts.
?NAHCON has also warned individuals and page administrators operating fake platforms to immediately cease misrepresenting the Commission, noting that it reserves the right to take appropriate administrative and legal actions to protect its institutional reputation.
?For verified updates regarding Hajj and Umrah activities, the public is encouraged to rely solely on NAHCON's designated official channels.
