?The Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria (MMPN) has warmly felicitated His Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, on the occasion of his 20th coronation anniversary.
?In a statement issued on Sunday, November 1, 2026, MMPN described the two-decade milestone as a remarkable period defined by dignity, wisdom, and an unwavering commitment to Islam, the Muslim Ummah, and the nation.
?As Grand Patron of the MMPN, the Sultan was commended for his enduring support and confidence in Muslim media practitioners, particularly in championing the media's role in promoting understanding, responsible citizenship, and peaceful coexistence both nationally and internationally.
?The association noted that since his ascension to the throne in 2006, His Eminence has consistently leveraged his platform to foster interfaith dialogue, tolerance, and mutual respect among Nigerians.

?Furthermore, MMPN acknowledged the Sultan’s advocacy for ethical journalism, noting that his encouragement has bolstered media practitioners' resolve to uphold fairness, professionalism, and public responsibility in their duties.
?Joining the Muslim Ummah, the Sultanate Council, the government and people of Sokoto State, and the wider Nigerian public in celebrating the anniversary, MMPN prayed that Almighty Allah continues to grant His Eminence good health, wisdom, and strength for many more years of service to Islam and humanity.
