The Minister of Works, , has expressed satisfaction with the quality and pace of work on the 43.65-kilometre Mararaba–Keffi Road reconstruction and expansion project during an inspection of ongoing federal road projects in the FCT and .
Umahi commended and for maintaining high construction standards on the Abuja-bound and Keffi-bound sections of the road.
He expressed confidence that the rehabilitation project would be completed ahead of its March 2028 deadline, including the installation of solar-powered streetlights.
The minister reiterated the Federal Government’s determination to end abandoned and substandard infrastructure projects, urging contractors to adhere strictly to approved specifications while maintaining regular communication with the ministry. He also directed that all unfinished sections be completed before new asphalt works commence.
