National Assembly Hajj Committee Commends NAHCON Over 2026 Hajj Operations in Madinah



A joint committee of the National Assembly comprising senators and members of the House of Representatives has commended the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) for what it described as a marked improvement in the coordination and delivery of the 2026 Hajj exercise.


A statement from he Hajj commission of Nigeria NAHCON revealed that the lawmakers, who were in Madinah on an oversight visit, inspected pilgrims’ accommodation and assessed other services being rendered to Nigerian pilgrims by the Commission.


During the visit, the committee interacted with pilgrims and reviewed the operational arrangements put in place by NAHCON for this year’s exercise.


Speaking on behalf of the committee, Senator Ali Ndume, noted that the 2026 Hajj had so far recorded better coordination, stronger synergy among stakeholders, and improved service delivery compared to the previous year.


They commended the leadership of NAHCON and the entire operational team for the visible progress recorded in the exercise.


The committee also prayed to Almighty Allah SWT to crown this year’s Hajj with success and to grant ease to all pilgrims as the airlift and Hajj rites continue.
