The Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Ph.D., GCON, has congratulated the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on her installation as the Yeye Asiwaju Gbogbo Ile Oodu’a, saying the traditional honour was well deserved.

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, had on Sunday, as part of his 10th coronation anniversary, decorated the First Lady with the traditional title at a ceremony with many dignitaries, including top government functionaries, elder statesmen, traditional and religious leaders.

Speaker Abbas thanked the Ooni for honouring Senator Oluremi Tinubu with a traditional title with influence across Yoruba land. He said the First Lady, who has done and achieved so much in politics, leadership, and humanitarian services, deserved honour and accolades.

While expressing his delight that the wife of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has continued to inspire women across religions and tribes, the Speaker especially noted her kindness and love for the less privileged in the society.

The Speaker wished Senator Tinubu more celebrations in her lifetime while praying to God to grant her longevity, more grace, blessings, and wisdom to do more for the people and the country.
