ABUJA – Nigerians have expressed mixed reactions following the announcement that one million copies of the Holy Bible will be distributed across the country in honour of Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The announcement was made during a thanksgiving service held on Sunday, October 12, at the National Christian Centre, Abuja. The event was organised by friends of Seyi Tinubu and coordinated by Hon. Belusochukwu Enwere, National Chairman of the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN).
According to the organisers, the nationwide Bible distribution aims to promote moral renewal, ethical leadership, and civic responsibility among Nigerian youths.
Hon. Enwere described the initiative as a symbolic gesture towards national reawakening.
“The one million Bible project is a gift to the body of Christ and a seed for moral transformation. Through this effort, we hope to restore integrity, compassion, and love for humanity among young Nigerians,” he stated.
The first set of Bibles, earmarked for churches, schools, and youth ministries, were unveiled during the service and are expected to be distributed in the coming weeks.
In a goodwill message delivered on his behalf, Seyi Tinubu expressed deep appreciation to the organisers and participants, commending their commitment to using faith as a tool for national transformation.
Simultaneous thanksgiving services were reportedly held in about 40 churches nationwide, marking the commencement of the Bible distribution initiative.
