With profound sadness, the family of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi State announces the passing of his beloved stepmother, Haj. Hauwa Muhammadu Duguri, fondly known as Dada. She was 120 years old.

This is contained in a statement signed by Mr Mukhtar Gidado, Special Adviser Media and Publicity to the Governor Made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Bauchi

Haj. Duguri was a highly respected matriarch and a symbol of wisdom, grace, and selflessness. Her remarkable life was marked by a deep commitment to community service, piety, and compassion.

Throughout her long and impactful life, she inspired countless individuals with her kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to her faith and community.

The funeral prayer (Janazah) for Haj. Duguri will take place today at 4:00 PM at Dr. Rulwan Adamu Square, Government House, Bauchi. Governor Bala Mohammed has extended his heartfelt condolences to the entire Duguri family and all those who had the privilege of knowing Haj. Duguri.

He urged everyone to join him in prayers for the repose of her soul and to honor her enduring legacy.

May Almighty Allah grant Haj. Hauwa Muhammadu Duguri eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus and give her family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
