Printing of money is about lending money and that’s what we do, CBN Governor Emefiele replies Obaseki-Video

The governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria Godwin Emefiele has ed to the allegations made by Obaseki claiming that the federal government is so broke that it has to print out money to give out an allocation to the governors for March.

Responding to the claim, Emefiele said it shouldn’t be given any colouration just to overheat the polity, according to him, even though Nigeria’s GDP is not doing well at moment but it is far better than what it was in 2015 which they were able to manage.

He further stated that printing of money is not something bad that should be painted negatively, except if their accusers are saying that they should not lend money.
